   We cordially invite you to attend the Sixth International Conference on Atomic and Molecular Data and Their Applications (ICAMDATA), which will be held at Beijing Friendship Hotel in Beijing, China. The conference will start on Tuesday October 28th, and finish on Friday October 31st, 2008. A welcome reception will be given in the evening of Monday October 27th.

  ICAMDATA is a continuing series of international conferences since 1997 that promotes the use of atomic and molecular (AM) data in various fields of science and technology, and provides a forum for interaction of AM data producers and users. The conference will cover topics like:

I.         Application and needs of atomic and molecular data:

l           Astrophysics and atmospheric physics

l           Inertial and magnetic fusion

l           Low temperature laboratory plasma and industrial plasmas

l           Lighting sciences and technology

l           Biomedicine and biophysics

l           Combustion and environmental sciences and technology

l           Surface physics, gaseous electronics, semiconductors, etc

II.      Atomic and molecular data production:

l           Data collection, assessment, exchange and dissemination

l           Standardization of data formats

l           AM databases, activities of data center

III.   Experimental and theoretical methods for Atomic and Molecular data generation

l           Atomic and molecular structure and radiative processes

l           Electron collisions with atoms and molecules

l           Heavy particle collisions
